Workplace LEarning

 Here's a short story:

Aisha just started a new job as a customer service rep. On her first day, she felt overwhelmed by thick product manuals, company policies, and endless PowerPoint slides filled with bullet points.

But then her manager, Meera, stepped in. Instead of more documents, Meera shared a few stories—stories of how she handled angry customers and tough service requests, and how she turned those situations into positive outcomes.
Through these stories, Aisha’s nervousness melted away. She became excited, asked questions, and gained clarity. By the end of the day, she felt ready and eager to start her job.

This is the power of storytelling. Stories simplify complex concepts, connect with our emotions, and make information stick. In training, they help learners relate to the material and understand the 'what' and 'why' behind processes, bringing out the human side of the lesson.

Next time you’re designing or delivering training, try incorporating storytelling. See the magic happen!
